Meeting Minutes of the Indianola Port District Board of Port Commissioners Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 7:00 PM Indianola Clubhouse, 19876 Indianola Road NE, Indianola, WA 98342

Call to Order

Commissioner Walker called the meeting to order at 7:02 PM.

Commissioner Comments

Commissioner Comments is the time for Board members to present verbal reports and suggest future agenda items. None.

All matters listed within the Consent Agenda have been distributed to each member of the Commission for reading and study. They are considered routine and will be enacted by one motion of the Commission with no separate discussion. If separate discussion is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Agenda and placed on the Regular Agenda by a Commission member or by a citizen request.

A. Meeting Minutes of the May 26, 2026 regular meeting – Commissioner Walker moved to accept the minutes as submitted. Seconded by Commissioner Abbott. Unanimously approved.

B. Accounting Summary Report – As of May 2026:

  • General Fund #88715: $164,683.07
  • General Fund Investment Account: $401,067.61
  • Total: $565,750.68

C. Payables –

  • Voucher #2183 Marine Floats Corporation: $52.50
  • Voucher #2184 U.S. Postal Service Box Rental: $196.00
  • Total: $248.50

New Business Items

A. Artwork at Head of Dock – Artwork is scheduled to be installed by July 24, 2026, for Indianola Days. The project is being funded by the Indianola Garden Club.

B. Float Storage – Discussed possible reimbursement to Jim Smalls for float storage. The Port will cover the $200.00 Indianola Golf Tournament fee and send a letter of appreciation.

C. IBIC Security – Approved the Port’s annual contribution of $1,500.00 to IBIC for security services.

D. Next Meeting – Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

Commissioner Walker moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:12 PM. Seconded by Commissioner Abbott. Passed unanimously.
