Call to Order#

Commissioner Henderson called the meeting to order at 7:04 PM.

Commissioner Comments#

Commissioner Comments is the time for Board members to present verbal reports and suggest future agenda items. None

Consent Agenda Items#

All matters listed within the Consent Agenda have been distributed to each member of the Commission for reading and study. They are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion of the Commission with no separate discussion. If separate discussion is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Agenda and placed on the Regular Agenda by a Commission member or by a Citizen Request.

• Meeting Minutes of the August 20, 2024 regular meeting – Commissioner Walker moved to accept minutes as submitted. Seconded by Commissioner Henderson. Unanimously approved.
• Accounting Summary Report – Commissioner Henderson
• Payables – None

Old Business Items#

New Business Items#

• Port Auditor Position – Volunteer position/paid position. Continue to look for person to fill position.
• Piling Repair – Commissioner Walker to follow up with Spencer for written estimate on piling repair.
• Piling Replacement Process – Commissioners discussed permits, bonds, and which pilings to be replaced. Estimates to be sought from Quigg Brothers and Duwamish Services.
• Commissioner Appointment – Ted Schmidt agreed to finish Eric Cookson’s term. Commissioner Henderson to find out about Washington Ports Class and Spring Election 2025 expenses for Port Commissioner position.
• Budget 2025 – Preliminary budget discussion and draft numbers penciled in. Commissioner Henderson to follow up.
