Call to Order#

Commissioner Henderson called the meeting to order at 6:58 PM.

Commissioner Comments#

Commissioner Comments is the time for Board members to present verbal reports and suggest future agenda items. None

Consent Agenda Items#

All matters listed within the Consent Agenda have been distributed to each member of the Commission for reading and study. They are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion of the Commission with no separate discussion. If separate discussion is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Agenda and placed on the Regular Agenda by a Commission member or by a Citizen Request.

• Meeting Minutes of May 23rd, 2024, Regular Meeting – Commissioner Henderson moved to accept minutes as submitted, seconded by Commissioner Walker. Unanimously approved.
• Accounting Summary Report – Post Office Box yearly bill – Commissioner Henderson to pay $192.00 until auditor position worked out.
• Payables Voucher – None.

New Business Items#

• Port Auditor Position – Volunteer position/paid position. Continue to check with other Ports/contacts for an Auditor.
• Piling Repair – Commissioner Walker to check with Gary Reynolds and Spencer for repairs.
• IBIC Request for Security Contribution – Commissioner Henderson motioned, Commissioner Walker seconded to increase annual security contribution to IBIC to $1,250.00.
• Art Langlie Inquiry – Asked about plans for replacing remaining pilings. Commissioner Henderson will pass files to Commissioner Walker from 2015 work.
• Reckord Acknowledgement – Commissioner Henderson to work on.
• Commissioner Cookson Announcement – Announced his moving from Indianola. Discussion on replacement for Area 2 Port Commissioner.
• Dock Maintenance – John Lane talked with Commissioner Walker regarding boards splintered on dock and ramp. Replacement boards are being done.

Commissioner Henderson moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:36 PM. Seconded by Commissioner Walker. Passed unanimously.
