Call to Order#

Commissioner Henderson called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.

Commissioner Comments#

Commissioner Comments is the time for Board members to present verbal reports and suggest future agenda items. None.

Consent Agenda Items#

All matters listed within the Consent Agenda have been distributed to each member of the Commission for reading and study, are considered routine, and will be enacted by one motion of the Commission with no separate discussion. If separate discussion is desired, that item may be removed and placed on the Regular Agenda by a Commission member or by Citizen Request.

• Meeting Minutes of the December 20, 2022 regular meeting – Commissioner Walker moved to accept the minutes as submitted, seconded by Commissioner Henderson, passed unanimously.
• Accounting Summary Report submitted by Port Auditor Susan Henry as of January 17, 2023. Net General Fund balance: $1,055,665.34.
• Payables: Voucher 2141 payable to Washington Public Ports Association for 2023 dues in the amount of $300.00. Commissioner Henderson moved to accept the voucher as submitted, seconded by Commissioner Cookson, passed unanimously.

Old Business Items#

• None.

New Business Items#

• Port history sign: Discussion regarding updating of Port history sign. Awaiting input from Sign Committee regarding collaboration with Suquamish Tribe. Commissioner Walker to contact committee members. Port must add RCO acknowledgement to existing sign.
• Bench project: Discussion regarding bench. Spencer West and Ty Purser presented a design for the proposed bench at the head of the Indianola dock, utilizing Native themes. Spencer West has donated a cedar plank for the bench back. Ty will further finalize his plan and present it at a future Port meeting. Anticipated installation: April/May 2023.
• Port email: Commissioner Henderson to work with Cory Gregerson to utilize MS Outlook for Port email. Commissioner Henderson to also work with Cory Gregerson to upgrade Port email as well as adding all Port of Indianola Resolutions to the Port website.
• Power upgrade: Power upgrade with new meter and panel ongoing. Commissioners Walker, Henderson, and Bob Kinnaird involved.

Next Commissioners Meeting: February 21, 2023 – 7:00 PM.

Commissioner Henderson moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 PM. Seconded by Commissioner Walker, passed unanimously.
