Call to Order#

Commissioner Henderson called the meeting to order at 6:59 PM.

Commissioner Comments is the time for Board members to present verbal reports and suggest future agenda items.

Consent Agenda Items#

All matters listed within the Consent Agenda have been distributed to each member of the Commission for reading and study. They are considered routine and will be enacted by one motion with no separate discussion. If separate discussion is desired, the item may be removed and placed on the Regular Agenda by a Commission member or by citizen request.

• Meeting Minutes of May 17, 2022 regular meeting

  • Motion: Commissioner Cookson moved to accept the minutes as submitted.
  • Second: Commissioner Walker.
  • Vote: Passed unanimously.

• Accounting Summary Report submitted by Port Auditor Susan Henry as of July 19, 2022

  • Net General Fund Balance (excluding project fund): $114,822.53

• Payables

  • Voucher #2130 – Puget Sound Energy: $60.00
  • Voucher #2131 – USPS Port PO Box Rental (12 months): $166.00
  • Motion: Commissioner Henderson moved to accept the payment vouchers as submitted.
  • Second: Commissioner Cookson.
  • Vote: Passed unanimously.

Old Business#

New Business#

• Discussion regarding updating of Port history sign. Awaiting input from Sign Committee regarding collaboration with Suquamish Tribe.
• Commissioner Walker has two additional contacts for upgrade of concrete at dock entrance. Awaiting bids.
• Commissioner Henderson has contacted a contractor to procure necessary permits to install 20 new pilings. Awaiting cost estimate. Additionally, a contractor will need to be identified to perform soundings on all existing wood pilings to determine which should be replaced.
• Commissioner Henderson to work with Cory Gregerson to upgrade Port email.
• Discussion of new bench plaque. Commissioner Cookson has had discussions with Spencer West regarding bench design. Terry Reckord to provide ADA guidelines (height, etc.) to incorporate into design.
• Power upgrade with new meter and panel ongoing. Commissioners Walker, Henderson, and Bob Kinnaird.
