MEETING MINUTES OF THE INDIANOLA PORT DISTRICT BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 7:00 PM Indianola Clubhouse, 18976 Indianola Road NE, Indianola, WA 98342

Call to Order#

Commissioner Henderson called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.

Commissioner Comments#

Commissioner Comments is the time for Board members to present verbal reports and suggest future agenda items. None.

Consent Agenda Items#

All matters listed within the Consent Agenda have been distributed to each member of the Commission for reading and study, are considered routine, and will be enacted by one motion of the Commission with no separate discussion. If separate discussion is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Agenda and placed on the Regular Agenda by a Commission member or by Citizen Request.

• Meeting Minutes of January 18, 2022: Commissioner Cookson moved to accept the minutes as submitted, seconded by Commissioner Walker, passed unanimously.
• Meeting Minutes of February 4, 2022 (Pre-Construction Meeting): Commissioner Walker moved to accept, Commissioner Cookson seconded, passed unanimously.
• Accounting Summary Report: Submitted by Port Auditor Susan Henry as of February 15, 2022.
  • Net General Fund balance (not including project fund): $118,383.15
  • RCO Project Fund balance: $10,752.94
  • Project Fund Expense Balance: ($39,874.80)
  • As agreed in earlier meetings, the Project Fund is now being used to track the RCO Grant Match.
• Payables: Voucher #2123 payable to Washington Public Ports Association in the amount of $300.00. Commissioner Cookson moved to accept payment, Commissioner Walker seconded, passed unanimously.

New Business Items#

Dock Entrance Upgrade:

• A pre-construction meeting with Trowbridge Construction occurred on February 4, 2022.
• Weekly meetings with the contractor and Port representative will occur.
• Trowbridge will be responsible for scheduling Kitsap County inspections as required by the building permit.
• Port of Indianola will coordinate required inspections by a 3rd party inspection service for soil compaction, concrete testing, and any necessary structural inspections.
• Construction is scheduled to begin on March 1, 2022.

Meeting Adjourned: 7:41 PM – Commissioner Henderson proposed, seconded by Commissioner Cookson, unanimously approved.
