Meeting Minutes of the Indianola Port District Board of Port Commissioners Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 7:00 PM Indianola Pavilion, 18976 Indianola Road NE, Indianola, WA 98342

Call to Order#

Commissioner Henderson called the meeting to order at 7:03 PM.

Commissioner Comments#

Commissioner Comments is the time for Board members to present verbal reports and suggest future agenda items. None.

Consent Agenda Items#

All matters listed within the Consent Agenda have been distributed to each member of the Commission for reading and study, are considered to be routine, and will be enacted by one motion of the Commission with no separate discussion. If separate discussion is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Agenda and placed on the Regular Agenda by a Commission member or by citizen request.

• Meeting Minutes of the September 21, 2021 regular meeting – Commissioner Walker moved to accept the minutes as submitted, second by Commissioner Cookson, passed unanimously.
• Accounting Summary Report submitted by Port Auditor Susan Henry:
  • As of October 26, 2021:
    • Net General Fund balance (not including project fund): $90,717.02
    • RCO Project Fund balance: $10,752.94
    • Project Fund Expense Balance: ($33,268.56)
  • The Project Fund is now being used to track the RCO Grant Match.
• Payables:
  • Voucher #2120: U.S. Bank – Bond Administration – $170.00
  • Commissioner Walker moved to accept the voucher as submitted, Commissioner Cookson seconded, passed unanimously.

Old Business Items#

New Business Items#

• Commissioner Cookson discussed the status of the RCO Grant Extension applied for in September. RCO directors will not meet until January 2022; Eric’s contact will attempt to have the Director confirm the extension.
• Trowbridge Construction has been advised that Port of Indianola will extend the construction start to January 2022. Trowbridge will submit a bid based on the time extension.
• 2022 Preliminary Budget was discussed and completed. Commissioners will meet on November 9, 2021 to finalize the 2022 Budget.
• Commissioner Henderson will contact Sammamish Data regarding required re-districting.
• Commissioner Henderson will contact Kitsap County regarding the credit amount for overpayment of permit fees.
• Next Port Commission Meeting will be held on November 9, 2021.
