Call to Order#

Commissioner Henderson called the meeting to order at 7:04 PM.

Commissioner Comments#

Commissioner Comments is the time for Board members to present verbal reports and suggest future agenda items. None.

Consent Agenda Items#

All matters listed within the Consent Agenda have been distributed to each member of the Commission for reading and study, are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion of the Commission with no separate discussion. If separate discussion is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Agenda and placed on the Regular Agenda by a Commission member or by Citizen Request.

• Meeting Minutes of the January 16, 2021 regular meeting – Commissioner Walker moved to accept the minutes as submitted, second by Commissioner Henderson, passed unanimously.
• Accounting Summary Report submitted by Port Auditor Susan Henry. Auditor Henry provided statement for January 19, 2021. POI continues to see minimal property tax income. As of January 19, 2021, Net General Fund balance, not including project fund, is $110,948.79, reflecting December 2020 GO Bond semi-annual payment. RCO Project Fund balance is $10,752.94. Project Fund Expense Balance is ($32,834.38). As agreed in earlier meetings, the Project Fund is now being used to track the RCO Grant Match.
• Payables – Voucher #2109-Puget Sound Energy $60.00, Voucher #2110-Yardvark Services (maintenance under dock) $354.26. Commissioner Henderson moved to approve payment of vouchers as submitted. Second by Commissioner Walker, passed unanimously.

• Maintenance/Repair Permit – Commissioner Walker reports that 5-year Maintenance and Repair permit documents have been submitted and associated fees paid, awaiting County approval.
• Dock entrance upgrade – No report; permit in process.
• Community garbage and recycle discussion – Port of Indianola has approved a budget amount of $1,000.00 for 2021 payable to IBIC for community garbage and recycle.
• Next Port Commission Meeting: February 16, 2021.
