Meeting Minutes of the Indianola Port District Board of Port Commissioners, Tuesday November 14, 2017 at 7:00 PM, Indianola Clubhouse, 18976 Indianola Road NE, Indianola, WA 98342

Call to Order#

Commissioner Henderson called the meeting to order at 6:57 PM.

Commissioner Comments is the time for Board members to present verbal reports and suggest future agenda items.

None

Consent Agenda Items#

All matters listed within the Consent Agenda have been distributed to each member of the Commission for reading and study, are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion of the Commission with no separate discussion. If separate discussion is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Agenda and placed on the Regular Agenda by a Commission member or by Citizen Request.

• Meeting Minutes of October 10, 2017 Regular Meeting – Commissioner Henderson moved to accept the minutes as submitted. Seconded by Commissioner Cookson, passed unanimously.
• Accounting Summary Report by Port Auditor Susan Henry, presented by Commissioner Henderson.
  • No payables this month.
  • Property taxes received.
  • Accounting Summary – As of October 31, 2017, Net General Fund balance after warrants paid, not including project fund, is $103,423.42. Project Fund Balance is $4,178.18.

New Business Items#

• 2018 Budget – Final reviewed by Commissioner Henderson. The budget will be posted on the website.

• Resolution 2017-01 – Commissioner Henderson presented Resolution 2017-01 for adoption of the 2018 Budget levy increase for the 2018 tax year, which will be submitted to Kitsap County Assessor.

  • Commissioner Henderson moved to accept Resolution 2017-01.
  • Commissioner Cookson seconded.
  • Passed unanimously.

• 2018 Levy Certification – Signed and will be submitted to the Kitsap County Assessor before November 30.

• Maintenance and Repair Permit Renewal – Commissioner Cookson reports that renewal is in progress. He expects a response from the county this week. SEPA checklist needs to be reviewed. Current permit expires in March 2018.

• Update on Grant Submission – Commissioner Cookson reports that there has not been a final determination on the grant but it remains very unlikely that POI would receive funding.

Next Meeting#

The next Port Commission Meeting will be held on December 19, 2017.
