Meeting Minutes of the Indianola Port District Board of Port Commissioners Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 7:30 PM Indianola Clubhouse, 20446 Indianola Road NE, Indianola, WA 98342

Commissioners in Attendance: Jeff Henderson, Eric Cookson Port Auditor: Susan Henry Recording Secretary: Jayne Larson

Call to Order#

Commissioner Henderson called the meeting to order at 8:20 PM.

Commissioner Comments#

Commissioner Comments is the time for Board members to present verbal reports and suggest future agenda items. None.

Consent Agenda Items#

All matters listed within the Consent Agenda have been distributed to each member of the Commission for reading and study, are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion of the Commission with no separate discussion. If separate discussion is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Agenda and placed on the Regular Agenda by a Commission member or by Citizen Request.

• Meeting Minutes of the December 20, 2016 regular meeting – Commissioner Cookson moved to accept the minutes as submitted. Second by Commissioner Henderson, passed unanimously.
• Accounting Summary Report by Port Auditor Susan Henry.

Accounting Summary:

1. Auditor Henry provided summary reports for December 2016, January 2017, and February 2017.
2. As of February 28, 2017, Net General Fund balance not including project fund is $80,141.48. Project Fund Balance is $4,078.18.
3. Auditor Henry noted that tax revenue will be received next month.

Payables Submitted for Approval: Total payables of $480.00, including expenses for website, WPPA annual dues, and PSE.

Commissioner Henderson moved to accept warrants as submitted. Seconded by Commissioner Cookson, passed unanimously.

Old Business Items#

New Business Items#

• Annual Report Review and Certification: Will be tabled until next month’s meeting.
• Dock Signage: Commissioner Henderson will request feedback from community members on landmark dates for updates to the sign.
• Renewal of 5-Year Maintenance Permit: Expires in March 2018.
• Public Records Request: Received for any/all Port purchases from 01/01/2010 to present. Commissioner Henderson has acknowledged receipt but has not received a response to a question. Discussion ensued regarding handling these requests. Auditor Henry provided detailed listing of purchases for response. Commissioner Henderson will follow up further.

Next Meeting#

The next Port Commission Meeting will be held on April 18, 2017.

Commissioner Henderson moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:40 PM. Seconded by Commissioner Cookson, passed unanimously.
