Meeting Minutes of the Indianola Port District Board of Port Commissioners Tuesday, December 15, 2015 – 7:00 PM Indianola Clubhouse, 20446 Indianola Road NE, Indianola, WA 98342

Call to Order#

Commissioner Henderson called the meeting to order at 7:07 PM.

Consent Agenda Items#

All matters listed were approved in one motion unless removed for discussion.

• Meeting Minutes:

  • November 17, 2015 – Commissioner Cookson moved to accept the minutes as submitted. Seconded by Commissioner Lane, passed unanimously.

• Accounting Summary Report:

  • No warrants to pay.
  • Net General Fund balance: $94,070.76 (excluding project fund)
  • Project Fund Balance: $2,355.00
  • Payables: None

New Business#

Port Anniversary#

• Celebration date: August 13, 2016
• Susan Hancock leading the photo book effort
• WPPA attorney confirmed Port funds may be used to promote the facility and attract visitors/tourism (no alcohol).
• Celebration will aim to be self-sustaining.
• Sarah Runnels plans to meet with dock neighbors to discuss the party.

Peg Richards Memorial Funds#

• Funds received; Commissioner Henderson will send donor letters and forward notes to the Richards family.
• Memorial funds will be tracked as an internal line item under project funds.

Oath of Office#

• Commissioner Cookson completed and signed the oath for Port of Indianola District 2 for his re-election.

• Tuesday, January 12, 2016 – Indianola Clubhouse, 7:00 PM
