General Meeting Minutes – May 7, 2013

Commissioners: Jeff Henderson, Chairman; Joan Wald, Commissioner; Judith Frank, Commissioner Port Bookkeeper: Carol Tripp

Progress on Boat Ramp Attachment Modifications#

• Commissioner Henderson will draft and email a letter to Coast and Harbors with photos and details regarding needed modifications to the mooring float ramp attachment to the Dock.

New Business Items#

Accounting Summary#

• Carol Tripp presented the accounting summary for March 2013: net inflow $3,120.93
• Account balances as of March 31, 2013:
  • General Fund: $4,203.42
  • General Fund Investment Account: $49,141.83
  • Total Account Balances: $53,350.25
• After May invoices are paid, Total Balance: $53,000

Letter of Recommendation for Carol Tripp / Port Auditor#

• The Board will prepare a letter of recommendation for Carol Tripp at her last meeting on June 4, 2013 in appreciation for her service.

Website Update#

• Cory Gergerson performed an update to the Port website.
• Commissioner Frank will receive training from him and process his invoice for services.

Kitsap County Elections Office – Commissioner Candidates#

• Commissioner Frank reported: if no candidates file for upcoming elections in November, current Commissioners continue until the term expires.
• Special three-day filing period may be opened if needed.

June General Meeting Focus – Port Tax Levy Adjustment#

• Discussion regarding the main focus of the June general meeting: tax levy adjustment.
• Notices to be placed at Indianola Post Office, Clubhouse, and Country Store.
• Filing date for submitting levy amendment information: August 6, 2013
• Commissioner Frank to coordinate with Kipp Robertson (North Kitsap Herald) to notify community members.

Open to Public Comment (Limit 3 Minutes Each)#

• Dave Haley announced a new ‘Dog Doodie’ sign placed below the mutt mitt dispenser at the top of the beach stairs.
• Commissioner Frank noted that Tory Gallagher and Trudy Jones will service the five mutt mitt dispensers from Wilcox location to Enschedes stairs.
