Commissioners Regular Meeting Minutes Date: Tuesday, July 10, 2012 Time: 7:03 PM

1. Call to Order#

Meeting called to order at 7:03 PM.

2. Minutes#

• Previous Meetings Reviewed:
  • June 5, 2012 Regular Meeting
  • June 28, 2012 Special Meeting
• Motions to accept minutes as read (Wald), seconded, passed for both meetings.

3. Financial Report#

• Reviewed as submitted by Port Auditor Carol Tripp (copy attached).

4. Recording Secretary#

• Discussion of need for a recording secretary for Commissioners and Port Advisory Committee meetings.
• Commissioner Frank to post request for volunteers at the Indianola Post Office and in the Indianola Breeze.

5. Seasonal Swim Float#

• Commissioner Henderson updated status: installation planned prior to Indianola Days; awaiting delivery of deck grating.
• Winter storage options discussed; Lee Lannoye to explore storage with Miller Bay neighbor.

6. Website Maintenance#

• Commissioner Frank to work with Lee Lannoye and website designer to learn upload and maintenance procedures for the Port website.

7. Small Works Roster / Dock Maintenance#

• Discussion of using local contractors for ongoing dock maintenance.
• Commissioners would like periodic contractor surveys for loose deck boards and general dock condition.
• Details to be determined at a subsequent meeting.

8. Upcoming Meetings / Workshops#

• Small Port Commissioners Workshop (WPPA) in October 2012; Commissioner Frank plans to attend.
• Kitsap All Ports Meeting on July 16, 2012 in Silverdale; Commissioner Frank will attend.

9. Community Survey#

• Motion by Commissioner Frank to print and enclose a Port of Indianola survey in the August Breeze, cost not to exceed $150.00.
• Seconded by Commissioner Wald; motion passed.

10. Security Update#

• Dave Haley, IBIC President, reported that security personnel have been performing well and handling issues appropriately.
