MEETING MINUTES OF THE INDIANOLA PORT DISTRICT BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS, TUESDAY,

APRIL 18, 2023 AT 6:30 PM, INDIANOLA CLUBHOUSE 19876 INDIANOLA ROAD NE, INDIANOLA, WA 98342


Commissioners in attendance: Jeff Henderson, Gary Walker, Eric Cookson

CALL TO ORDER Commissioner Henderson called the meeting to order at 7:03 PM


COMMISSIONER COMMENTS: Commissioner Comments is the time for Board members to present verbal reports and suggest future agenda items. NONE


CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS:

All matters listed within the Consent Agenda have been distributed to each member of the Commission for reading and study, are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion of the Commission with no separate discussion. If separate discussion is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Agenda and placed on the Regular Agenda by a Commission member or by Citizen Request.

  1. Meeting Minutes of the March21, 2023 regular meeting – Commissioner Walker moved to accept the Minutes as submitted, Seconded by Commissioner Cookson. Unanimously approved.

  2. Accounting Summary Report submitted by Port Auditor Susan Henry as of April 18, 2023. Net General Fund balance $112,298.69.

  3. Payables: No payables.


  1. OLD BUSINESS ITEMS - NONE


NEW BUSINESS ITEMS


  1. Bench report. No update.

  2. Sign Committee – no report. Commissioner Walker reports that the sign committee is progressing.

  3. Power upgrade with new meter and panel ongoing. Commissioners, Walker, Henderson and Bob Kinnaird. Commissioner Walker suggested contacting Matthews Electric to coordinate necessary permits and approvals.

  4. Commissioner Walker coordinated a work party of community volunteers to remove and replace old compromised decking at the end of the dock. Thank you, Gary and volunteers.

  5. Port Auditor Susan Henry completed and submitted the Port of Indianola Annual Report to the State of Washington. Huge Thank you to Susan for compiling the copious amount of information required.

  6. Susan Henry has some ideas for a potential Port Secretary, she will approach several individual’s and report accordingly.

ADJOURNMENT – Commissioner Henderson moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:49 PM. Seconded by Commissioner Walker, passed unanimously.
