MEETING MINUTES OF THE INDIANOLA PORT DISTRICT BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS, TUESDAY,

November 15, 2022 AT 7:00 PM, INDIANOLA CLUBHOUSE 18976 INDIANOLA ROAD NE, INDIANOLA, WA 98342

CALL TO ORDER Commissioner Henderson called the meeting to order at 7:02 PM


COMMISSIONER COMMENTS: Commissioner Comments is the time for Board members to present verbal reports and suggest future agenda items. NONE


CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS:

All matters listed within the Consent Agenda have been distributed to each member of the Commission for reading and study, are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion of the Commission with no separate discussion. If separate discussion is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Agenda and placed on the Regular Agenda by a Commission member or by Citizen Request.

  1. Meeting Minutes of the October 18, 2022 regular meeting – Commissioner Henderson moved to accept the minutes as submitted, second by Commissioner Walker, passed unanimously.

  2. Accounting Summary Report submitted by Port Auditor Susan Henry as of November 15, 2022. Net General Fund balance $120,592.92

  3. No payables


  1. OLD BUSINESS ITEMS - NONE


NEW BUSINESS ITEMS


  1. Discussion regarding updating of Port history sign. Awaiting input from Sign Committee regarding collaboration with Suquamish Tribe. Commissioner Walker to contact committee members. Port must add RCO acknowledgement to existing sign.

  2. Discussion regarding bench. Commissioner Cookson reported that a preliminary design will be available at our December 2022 meeting.

  3. G.O. Bond payment of $19,400.00 is payable on 12/1/2022. Commissioner Henderson moved to approve the payment, seconded by Commissioner Walker, passed unanimously.

  4. Commissioner Walker advised the concrete project at the dock entrance is scheduled for December 2022 weather permitting.

  5. Final 2023 Port of Indianola Budget approved – Commissioner Henderson moved to accept the final budget; Commissioner Walker seconded.

  6. Resolution 2022-02 – County Ordinance read. Commissioner Henderson moved to accept the Resolution; Commissioner seconded; approved unanimously.

  7. Resolution 2022-03 – Budget Resolution read. Commissioner Henderson moved to accept the Resolution; Commissioner seconded; approved unanimously.

  8. Commissioner Henderson to work with Cory Gregerson to upgrade Port email as well as adding all Port of Indianola Resolutions to the Port website.

  9. Power upgrade with new meter and panel ongoing. Commissioners, Walker, Henderson and Bob Kinnaird.

  10. Commissioner Henderson and Walker to discuss water usage by Jorgensen family to water the Port plants.

  11. Next Commissioners Meeting: December 20, 2022 7:00 PM.
