MEETING MINUTES OF THE INDIANOLA PORT DISTRICT BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS, TUESDAY,

July 19, 2022 AT 7:00 PM, INDIANOLA CLUBHOUSE 18976 INDIANOLA ROAD NE, INDIANOLA, WA 98342


Commissioners in attendance: Jeff Henderson, Eric Cookson, Gary Walker

CALL TO ORDER Commissioner Henderson called the meeting to order at 6:59 PM


COMMISSIONER COMMENTS: Commissioner Comments is the time for Board members to present verbal reports and suggest future agenda items. NONE


CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS:

All matters listed within the Consent Agenda have been distributed to each member of the Commission for reading and study, are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion of the Commission with no separate discussion. If separate discussion is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Agenda and placed on the Regular Agenda by a Commission member or by Citizen Request.

  1. Meeting Minutes of the May 17, 2022 regular meeting – Commissioner Cookson moved to accept the minutes as submitted, second by Commissioner Walker, passed unanimously.

Accounting Summary Report submitted by Port Auditor Susan Henry as of July 19, 2022. As of July 19, 2022 Net General Fund balance, not including project fund, is $114,822.53.

  1. Payables: Voucher #2130 – Puget Sound Energy $60.00, Voucher #2131 USPS Port PO Box Rental 12 months $166.00. Commissioner Henderson moved to accept the payment voucher as submitted, Commissioner C seconded. Passed unanimously.


  1. OLD BUSINESS ITEMS - NONE


NEW BUSINESS ITEMS


  1. Discussion regarding updating of Port history sign. Awaiting input from Sign Committee regarding collaboration with Suquamish Tribe

  2. Commissioner Walker has two additional contacts for upgrade of concrete at dock entrance. Awaiting bids.

  3. Commissioner Henderson has contacted a contractor to procure necessary permits to install 20 new pilings. Awaiting cost estimate. Additionally, a contractor will need to be identified to perform soundings on all existing wood piling to determine which pilings should be replaced.

  4. Commissioner Henderson to work with Cory Gregerson to upgrade Port email.

  5. Discussion of new Bench plaque. Commissioner Cookson has had discussions with Spencer West regarding bench design. Terry Reckord to provide ADA guidelines – height, etc. to incorporate into the design

  6. Power upgrade with new meter and panel ongoing. Commissioners, Walker, Henderson and Bob Kinnaird.

  7. Next Commissioners Meeting: August 16, 2022 7:00 PM.
