SPECIAL PORT COMMISSION MEETING
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MEETING MINUTES OF THE INDIANOLA PORT DISTRICT BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS, FRIDAY FEBRUARY 4, 2022 AT 2:00 PM INDANOLA CLUHOUSE 18976 INDANOLA RD NE, INDIANOLA, WA 98342 AND HEAD OF DOCK.

CALL TO ORDER Commissioner Henderson called the meeting to order at 2:01 PM
COMMISSIONER COMMENTS: Commissioner Comments is the time for Board members to present verbal reports and suggest future agenda items. NONE
CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS:
All matters listed within the Consent Agenda have been distributed to each member of the Commission for reading and study, are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion of the Commission with no separate discussion. If separate discussion is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Agenda and placed on the Regular Agenda by a Commission member or by Citizen Request.
This meeting was called to go over the construction bid requirements for the head of the dock improvement.
It was agreed that the project would commence 3/1 or 3/8, 2022.
The contractor was asked to provide to the Port, a Certificate of Insurance, a schedule of values, and a Supplier list.
It was noted to the contractor that the existing planter would be emptied of any plants before construction begins. Jeff will contact the Garden club.
Terry informed the contractor about the 85’ limit from the mean high tide for the work area.
The boundaries of the street right of way were noted to the contractor.
Work hours were determined to be between 8 AM and 6 PM Mon- Fri.
A work progress meeting will be held with the Port representative and the contractor on Mondays at 9 AM at the site.
Any substitution of materials must be approved by the Port, samples to be provided by the contractor.
Terry provided the contractor with the name of a local testing lab for any tests required in the project.
It was decided that MLA would be the structural observer for any inspection needed.
There will be structural engineer on call from MLA if needed.
Electricity and water will be provided by the Port with the help of local neighbors.

ADJOURNMENT – Commissioner Walker moved to adjourn the meeting at 3:05PM. Seconded by Commissioner Cookson, passed unanimously.
