Comm. Henderson will also draft and e-mail a letter to Coast and Harbors with photos and information regarding the need
for modifications to the mooring float ramp attachment to the Dock.

ACCOUNTING SUMMARY
Carol Tripp presented an accounting summary for March 2013 is $3,120.93. Account balances as of March 31, 2013 are as follows: General Fund=$4,203.42; General Fund Investment Account=$49,141.83; TOTAL ACCOUNT BALANCES=$53,350.25. After invoices paid in May, the TOTAL BALANCE=$53,000.

LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION FOR CAROL TRIPP/PORT AUDITOR
Having received notice that she will no longer function as Port Auditor, a letter of recommendation will be prepared by the Board of Commissioners and presented to Carol Tripp at her last Port meeting on June 4, 2013 in appreciation for her service to the Port of Indianola.

WEBSITE UPDATE
Cory Gergerson notified Comm. Frank that he performed a required update on the Port of Indianola Website which mandates further training with the person keeping the site current (Comm. Frank). He also said he would generate an invoice for his services and send it to the Board to be processed. Comm. Frank stated she would contact Mr. Gregerson to receive the required training.

KITSAP COUNTY ELECTIONS OFFICE RE: COMMISSIONER CANDIDATES
Comm. Frank reported that the County Elections Office informed her that, if no one filed to fill the Commissioners’ positions that are up for election at the next general election in November, the sitting Commissioners would continue in their positions until the actual term is expired. If no one files during the regular filing dates of May 13th – May 17th, the County Elections office can open a special three-day filing period at a later date prior to the Election.

JUNE GENERAL MEETING FOCUS ON PORT TAX LEVY ADJUSTMENT
Discussion ensued regarding the main focus of the upcoming June Port general meeting. Comm. Frank will contact Kipp Robertson, the reporter for the North Kitsap Herald who recently wrote an article on the Port of Indianola. The Board will attempt to ensure that the Port District community members have ample notification of the purpose of the June Port meeting so that the Commissioners can provide information, answer questions and receive input from its constituents. Notices will be placed at the Indianola Post Office, the Indianola Clubhouse and on the bulletin board at the Post Office and the Indianola Country Store. The filing date for submitting the Port Tax Levy amendment information for the general election is August 6, 2013

OPEN TO PUBLIC COMMENT (LIMIT 3 MINUTES EACH)
Dave Haley announced that a new ‘Dog Doodie’ sign was placed below the mutt mitt dispenser located at the top of the beach stairs. Comm. Frank noted that Tory Gallagher and Trudy Jones will now be servicing the five mutt mitt dispensers from the Wilcox location east to the Enschedes stairs.
